Our summer intern program enables us to discover bright new talent as they work side-by-side with attorneys and support staff. Since we are so community-oriented, we prefer candidates who want to stay and practice law in the Western New York area after graduation.

We keep our interns very busy. They check facts, analyze data, organize information, research legal arguments, and even attend court proceedings. They are considered part of our team, and provide service to clients. The number of interns hired during a summer will generally range from one to three. Two attorneys will be assigned to mentor each intern, and a partner will provide overall supervision, training and guidance. An associate will offer a different and invaluable perspective—a real life example of what it's like to be an associate attorney practicing law at Underberg & Kessler.
